FAQs
What’s the Difference Between Rehab Chiropractic and Traditional Chiropractic?
Rehab chiropractic (short for rehabilitative chiropractic care) combines traditional chiropractic adjustments with physical rehabilitation therapies. The goal is not just to relieve pain temporarily (as with some standard chiropractic care), but to restore function, improve mobility, and prevent future injuries.
What to Bring or Wear for My Appointment:
Bring a photo ID, any referral letter (if you have one), relevant medical records, and a list of current medications.
Wear loose-fitting, athletic clothing. Avoid tight jeans or restrictive outfits.
Bring a list of your pain areas and any specific goals you have for treatment.
A water bottle is also recommended.
How Long Is My 1-on-1 Chiropractic & Rehab Session?
Each session is 60 minutes long and includes:
Personalized plans of care, tailored to you
Full-hour, one-on-one appointments with the doctor
Hands-on treatment based on your needs and movement goals
Strength and mobility work using evidence-based methods
Goal-focused rehab for pain relief, joint control, and performance enhancement
How Long Will It Take for Me to Get Better?
Recovery looks different for every person. Pain is a multifaceted and often complex issue, and healing rarely follows a perfectly predictable timeline. That said, we’ve found that most clients fall into a few common ranges:
8 sessions: For focused, single-area concerns, many people notice significant progress within this timeframe.
12 sessions: For multiple or recurring issues, steady improvement typically takes a bit longer.
18 sessions: For complex cases with several overlapping symptoms, more time and consistency are often required.
Every plan of care includes recorded home exercises after each session, so progress depends not only on attending appointments but also on staying consistent with the work you do outside the office.
Think of these numbers as guidelines, not guarantees. Your recovery is influenced by factors like sleep, stress, lifestyle habits, and how consistently you follow through with your movement program.
